Drew and the rest of the Greenwich Democrats recently kicked off the fall campaign season with their annual picnic at the Garden Education and Nature Center in Cos Cob. Over a hundred Greenwich Democrats were in attendance at the picnic, which also saw the likes of Congressman Jim Himes, Senator Richard Blumenthal, and a number of democratic candidates for US Senate join in the festivities. Drew received plenty of praise at the event, especially from DTC chairman Frank Farricker who called him, “arguably the most popular officeholder in the town of Greenwich.” Drew spoke at the event, commenting:
“We need to campaign like the underdog, because we are,” Mr. Marzullo said. “This once very red town we live in is changing. It might not be blue yet, but let’s call it purple.”
