Drew has come out in opposition of Apple’s plans to install a large security in front of their Greenwich Avenue store. Drew understands their security concerns, but wants them to explore other options. From the Greenwich Time:
“To me, it would be very unappealing to the eye and, quite frankly, I find it ugly,” Selectman Drew Marzullo said. “I think it could very well give an impression that Greenwich Avenue is unsafe for retail.”
Marzullo is planning to send an email to Apple representatives asking the company to rethink its plan.
“We are not immune from burglaries or crime,” Marzullo said. “We don’t live in a vacuum. At this point, I think installing metal gates is quite extreme.”
